MatchCaller scores hands-free when you click a small Bluetooth button by the court, and calls the score aloud through a speaker. Everything below is grouped by what it does. Open a section to see the options.

What “Tested” means. Only the items marked Tested have been used with MatchCaller on a real court by us. Everything else is a search for the right kind of product: a sensible starting point that should work, not something we have vetted. We would rather send you to a search than pretend to have tested something we have not.

The click that scores the point. On Android almost any shutter remote works; on iOS it must send Enter, not volume.

Mounts and tripods1 tested · 5 searches

Get the screen to eye level and out of the rally. Fences, net posts and glass walls all need different clamps.

Speakers1 tested · 4 searches

The announcer needs to carry over open court. Anything pocket-sized and loud enough works; outdoors, weather resistance matters more than fidelity.

Watches16 supported watches

Minimum supported version: Wear OS 4. Anything newer works too. MatchCaller's watch app shows the live score on your wrist and can score from it when the host promotes you. The Galaxy Watch 7 is the one we have tested; the rest meet the requirement on paper and should work.

Phones and tablets2 tested · 8 searches

A good courtside device is big enough to read from the far baseline, bright enough to beat direct sun (look for a high nits figure, not just screen size), lasts a session on battery with the screen kept awake, and fits whatever you can clamp it to. A cheap tablet often beats an expensive phone here. The two we have run matches on carry a Tested badge; the rest are current budget and premium examples from the brands most likely to already be in your bag, and are suggestions rather than anything we have validated.

We have also run matches on a Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (T380). It works, but it is old enough now that we will not point you at a listing for one. It is named here because it is part of what we have actually tested, not as a buying suggestion.
